The Fund for Reconstruction and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established in 2006 in accordance with the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to ensure the implementation of projects for the modernization and technical re-equipment of leading, primarily basic, sectors of the economy, to achieve consistent, stable and balanced socio-economic development of the country, as well as to implement an effective structural and investment policy.
The Fund for Reconstruction and Development carries out tasks such as financing the implementation of socially significant national state programs and projects to form production and non-production infrastructure in promising but underdeveloped regions, financing the modernization and development of transport and telecommunications infrastructure, which creates conditions for the integration of the republic into the international communications network, and providing the shortest access to international transport corridors and world markets. The Fund for Reconstruction and Development may also participate in the organization of joint financing of projects with international financial institutions, credit institutions of the republic and foreign countries.
The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, through the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is the founder of the Fund. The Council for the Management of the Fund, headed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is the supreme governing body of the Fund.

PURCHASE OF TALGO-250 ELECTRIC PASSENGER TRAIN TRAINS
CONSTRUCTION OF THE TURAKURGON THERMAL POWER PLANT
🔹 Goal – construction of the 900 MW Turakurgan TPP, introduction of energy-saving technologies and provision of sustainable electricity to consumers of the Fergana Valley.

«NAVOIYAZOT» OJSC - CONSTRUCTION OF A POLYVINYL CHLORIDE (PVC), CAUSTIC SODA AND METHANOL PRODUCTION COMPLEX
🔹 Goal – to produce 100 thousand tons of PVC, 75 thousand tons of caustic soda and 300 thousand tons of methanol per year.

🔹 Goal – construction of combined cycle power units with a capacity of 460-560 MW.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE SERGELI LINE OF THE TASHKENT METRO
CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW SHAVOT-KARAO‘ZAK RAILWAY LINE AND A COMBINED RAILWAY AND ROAD BRIDGE OVER THE AMUDARYA RIVER
🔹 The goal is to increase the transit capacity of Uzbekistan, to organize convenient railway and road transport between the cities of Nukus and Urganch.
🔹 Total cost of the project – 168.7 million dollars:

DEVELOPMENT OF THE YOSHLIK-I MINE
🔹 Goal - 60 million per year to expand production capacity of non-ferrous and precious metals JSC "Almalik MMK" by mining tons of ore.tons of ore per year.

PROJECT "CONSTRUCTION OF THE "ANGREN-POP" ELECTRIFIED RAILWAY LINE"
🔹 Goal - to connect all regions of Uzbekistan with a stable railway connection through the construction of a 19.2 km. underground tunnel, stop transit through the Sogdian railway section of Tajikistan (saving up to $140 million annually), reduce the cost of delivering cargo to the Fergana Valley by 3.9 times (from $27.8/ton to $7.2/ton).

IMPROVEMENT OF THE SURGIL FIELD AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE USTYURT GAS-CHEMICAL COMPLEX ON ITS BASIS
🔹 Goal – to produce 387 thousand tons of polyethylene, 83 thousand tons of polypropylene, 102 thousand tons of pyrolysis distillate, 8 thousand tons of pyrolysis oil through deep processing of 4.5 billion m³ of hydrocarbon raw materials.
🔹 Total cost of the project – 3,890.0 million USD:

PROJECT "CONSTRUCTION OF A CEMENT PLANT IN SHERABAD DISTRICT, SURKHANDARYA REGION"
